What is aMuleC Virus

 

aMuleC is a potentially unwanted application (PUP) that poses as a tool to archive files but in reality is adware. Both Windows and Mac users can be effected by aMuleC. Most users who have encountered aMuleC don’t recall downloading it, which means that aMuleC can get on your computer without you knowing it. aMuleC malware can achieve that by attaching itself to software distributed on the Internet. 

Methods to remove aMuleC

1. Use special removal software & Uninstall aMuleC from the operation system
• For windows user = Click Start → Control Panel → Programs and Features → Uninstall a program. 
•  For mac user = Click Applications in the Finder sidebar → Drag unwanted program to the Trash → Empty Trash
2. Remove aMuleC from the browser (Google Chrome/Mozilla Firefox/IE/Opera/Safari)
• Remove Unwanted add-on and plugin from Extension tab
• Reset Your browser

Remove from Windows operating system

1. Uninstall aMuleC from Control Panel
• Start → Programs and Features → Control Panel → Uninstall a program
• Select aMuleC and press Uninstall
2. Delete elements that stayed after uninstalling from Control Panel
• C:\Program Files\aMuleC
• C:\ProgramData\aMuleC
• C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\aMuleC or C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\aMule
3. Clean registry:
• Click Start→run
• Type Regedit.exe
• Search for "aMuleC" or "mule" and delete these elements
